Driven by an all-consuming passion for motorsport since the age of 5, Erwan Mainguy embodies an unconventional path built on determination, hard work and perseverance. Without the traditional resources often associated with this sport, he chose to turn every opportunity into a lever for progress towards his ultimate goal: to become a professional driver and one day take part in the Le Mans 24 Hours.

He started karting at 11, before moving into a later but intensive involvement in car racing. Between 2024 and 2025, Erwan took part in 18 SWS races, earning a pole position, two wins, four top-5s and nine top-10s, while discovering the demands of endurance racing through 4-hour, 12-hour and 24-hour crewed events.

Alongside this, he fully committed to high-level sim racing from 2024, using it as a genuine tool for performance and preparation.

In December 2024, Erwan decided to take a decisive step, doing everything possible to make his childhood dream a reality. This determination led him to approach professional outfits, securing a private TCR test with Optimum Racing in June 2025, where he set times within a second of Julien Paget, the 2024 TCR champion, confirming his potential and his ability to adapt quickly.

His sporting goal is clear: to make the Michelin Le Mans Cup a major step of confirmation, with a firm ambition to compete fully from 2026.

Away from the track, Erwan works as a Marketing Manager in the luxury boat sector, notably with Fountaine Pajot and Dufour Yachts — experience that gives him a solid grounding in partnerships, branding and commercial performance, essential assets in a modern driver's career.

His motivation, however, goes beyond sport. His commitment draws particular strength from his personal story, marked by his younger brother Adrien, who has Down syndrome. Aware of the chances life has given him, Erwan feels a duty to see his dreams through — for himself and for all those who haven't had the same opportunities. Through his journey, he also hopes to inspire young talents from modest backgrounds and to show that passion, combined with hard work and discipline, can open the doors to the highest level.
